The goat pen was started by pre-vet student Jonathan Dohanich during his one year residency in Matabonite. Seeing how the current conditions were not ideal for producing healthy goats, he hired residents to construct this goat pen. Outsourcing of this shelter to a local resident required the worker to enhance his professional skills in construction oversight and business management. Upon completion of this shelter, Jonathan then taught caretakers how to provide and monitor the goats.
